End-to-end digital experience design for an online learning tool
When Shutterstock, a leading provider of digital imagery and footage, decided to start up an online, crowdsourced marketplace for video tutorials targeting digital professionals, I was brought in to define and design the user experience from the ground up.
The first step was defining the brand. I started with a series of moodboards to help stakeholders visualize the brand tone and personality, and how that might translate into a UI design.
After a series of competitive assessments, I helped define the initial feature set through requirements gathering, and guided the UX strategy for ongoing feature enhancements and optimizations. I created a visual design system from scratch, including brand identity design, a UI pattern library, and a series of page templates.
